BSG is a company that is passionate about being creative and innovative in everything they do. In keeping with this BSG once again topped the bill by winning the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® T-shirt competition for the second year running.
Each year the organisers of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge® put out a call for entries to participating companies to submit t-shirt designs. The winning design is awarded US$1000, which is donated to charity. BSG’s charity of choice is, once again, it’s long-term development partner, LEAP Science and Maths Schools. BSG believes in every child’s birth right to a decent education, this belief forms the basis for the organisation’s long-standing relationship with LEAP Schools. BSG held an internal competition that saw designs submitted by consultants, developers and functional staff alike, with the winning design being chosen by the organisation through a voting process.
BSG has committed, as one of their goals for the next 10 years, to making a significant and sustainable difference in communities through education and other ways it can contribute, such as through the skills and time of its employees. BSG has been committed to supporting LEAP Schools for a number of years and has pledged to continue its support in the future. LEAP Schools provide free education to students from high-need communities, and have mathematics, physical science and English as mandatory subjects. Every LEAP school is partnered with a more privileged school, as well as a township school in the community the LEAP School serves. This three-way collaboration creates the opportunity to share excellence in all spheres.
LEAP Schools Relations Manager, Sabrina Lee, believes that BSG’s support of the schools goes a long way to ensuring their mandate of educating future leaders. “LEAP is delighted to be in a partnership with BSG, from supporting us with HR policies, painting and decorating our classrooms, helping us to raise funds and awareness of LEAP through sporting initiatives, such as the recent Cape Town Cycle Tour, through which we raised almost R100 000. BSG is 100% behind our work and we really value their contribution in all its forms.”
