This role delivers high-impact technical execution in cloud infrastructure and DevOps automation.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Cloud & DevOps Engineer independently designs, implements, and optimizes secure, scalable systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Supporting both client delivery and internal capability growth, this role is key to ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and mentorship within the engineering team.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems (Honours preferred)
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert) – desirable

EXPERIENCE

5+ years in Cloud & DevOps engineering roles
Proven experience with CI/CD, IaC, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical communities
Strong background in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Objectives

Technical Delivery:

Design and implement complex cloud architectures and CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
Ensure high availability, security, and performance of client solutions

Capability Development:

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge bases
Lead by example in adopting best practices and automation

Client Engagement:

Participate in technical discovery and solution design with clients
Contribute to reusable frameworks and accelerators

Operational Excellence:

Optimise cloud resource usage and reduce operational costs
Track and report on system health and performance metrics
