Senior Marketing Consultant Role Profile

Location: Johannesburg (hybrid, remote and in-office)

Intro:

This role is primarily to help BSG win new clients and win more business within existing clients. The role is to brand BSG as:

  1. the company for clients to partner with and
  2. an employer of choice in a highly competitive STEM-based market (challenge from competitors, plus clients vying for talent and impact of emigration)

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • management and coordination of B2B marketing and business development activities according to the to the overall Go-To-Market strategic plan
  • enhancing BSG's Client Value Proposition (CVP) and People Value Proposition (PVP), leveraging a highly collaborative business ecosystem

A successful candidate must be well versed in Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and execution tactics, and be comfortable to work closely with BSG's sales leaders, Research and Strategy team, Solutions team, and other functional areas. The individual must be knowledgeable on both CVP and PVP tactics, and be able to coordinate, execute and direct operational activities where needed. Hands-on responsibilities include planning, executing, and measuring a range of multi-touch, integrated marketing and business development operations and tactics.

Qualifications
  • Business Marketing degree (e.g., B.Bus.Sc. Marketing, or similar)
  • Honours / relevant post-graduate qualification beneficial
Experience
  • 8+ years' experience (professional services / consulting industry experience essential)
  • B2B marketing experience essential
  • Digital marketing (5+ years)
  • Campaign management and demand creation (5+ years)
  • Insight gathering from multiple internal and external sources (5+ years)
  • Budget management (5+ years)
  • Creative skills (written and/or design) to drive personalisation and relevance (5+ years)

  • Supplier and budget management inline with SLAs
  • Project, timeline, and stakeholder management to ensure on-time, on-budget and on-brand delivery of campaigns to meet agreed ROI requirements

PVP Campaign Management (Retention and Recruitment):

  • Support achievement of business retention and recruitment targets, in line with Balanced Scorecard
  • ROI / KPI management in line with agreed requirements

Brand Management:

  • Management of brand in line with brand strategy
  • Oversight of branded item stock management, ensuring stock risks are mitigated and managed proactively, suppliers are managed effectively, and storeroom is well-managed, clean and tidy

Events Management:

  • Project, timeline, and stakeholder management to ensure on-time, on-budget and on-brand delivery of events to meet agreed ROI requirements

Social Media / Online Oversight:

  • Consistent BSG voice across platforms, inline with strategy
  • Project, timeline, and stakeholder management to ensure on-time, on-budget and on-brand delivery of digital / social media campaigns to meet agreed ROI requirements
